Renée A. Price- House District 50

Rep. Renée Price represents North Carolina’s House District 50, covering Caswell and Orange counties. A former Orange County Commissioner and urban planner, she advocates for civil rights, environmental protection, and community development. In the legislature, she focuses on education, local governance, and economic opportunity.

Renée Price is a Democratic member of the North Carolina House of Representatives, representing District 50, which includes Caswell and Orange counties. She assumed office on January 1, 2023, succeeding Graig Meyer.

Before her tenure in the state legislature, Price served on the Orange County Board of Commissioners from 2012 to 2022, including time as chair. Her professional background encompasses urban affairs and regional planning, with degrees from Tufts University and Cornell University. Throughout her career, Price has been dedicated to civil rights, community empowerment, environmental protection, and justice for all.

In the General Assembly, Price has been appointed to several committees, including Appropriations, Appropriations - Information Technology, Education - Community Colleges, Local Government - Land Use, Planning and Development, and Regulatory Reform.
